The Foundation that nurtures Self-Sustainable Living ‘DEVI SREE KARIMARIAMMAN PUNNIYAKKOTTI SWAMIGAL ANNATHANANA TRUST’ has been serving the people in various activities for about 13 years. The Trust has been providing Annadanam since inception. With the activities getting multifold, the Trust gets revamped into Maathrudev Foundation. The thirst for discovering and converting barren and dilapidated lands into fertile and beneficial ones, led the team to a huge foundation known as MAATHRUDEV FOUNDATION, in the village named Thiruvadisoolam coming under Chengalpattu Taluk in Kanchipuram district. The concept of ‘MAATHRUDEV FOUNDATION’ revolves around the principles of self-sustained living in the natural way. The vast land which is not cared for has attracted the team’s interests to make it riotous and fit for living

The program MAATHRUDEV FOUNDATION is to revive the natural habitat in the village named Thiruvadisoolam generating employment to rural community of self-help groups from the villages around Thiruvadisoolam, Pattaravakkam, Senneri, Thenur, Anjur. The foundation also aims at providing essential health care facilities to the poor, deserving and needy persons. The program runs literacy classes to impart educational value systems. The foundation operates in the domains of Environment, Education and Healthcare enabling Self-Sustainable living.

Shri Madurai Muthu Swamigal son of Shri Punniyakotti Swamigal is the Founder and Managing Trustee of Devi Shree Karimariamman Punniyakotti Swamigal Annathanam Trust which was established by Trust Deed dated 25th June 2008. The Trust is having its Registered Office at Devi Shree Karimariamman Guru Peedam, 41 Vallikollai Medu, Thiruverkadu, Chennai 600077. Even prior to incorporation of the Trust, the Found Trustee and his fore-fathers have been doing Annathanam to public and its devotees on Friday and Sundays besides festival and other important days at the Annathanam Hall at Thiruverkadu.

With the Prathistha of 51 feet Devi Sri Karimariamman Deity at Kovilanthangal Village, Thiruvadisoolam, in Chengalpattu District during September 2008, the Annathanam activities have started to happen in bigger dimensions. Over these 13 years the Trust has been carrying out following activities at Thiruvadisoolam and other places also.

Activities - A Quick Snapshot

Regular annathanam (free supply of food) to public and needy on all week days.

On Festival Days like New Year (both Tamil and English), Pongal Festival Days, Deepavali, Navarathri and other festival days special annathanam is provided to public visitors. During new year and pongal days around 60 to 75 thousand people are fed with free annathanam.

During this Pandemic, COVID 19, free food was supplied on a regular basis during the period April to June 2020, on a daily basis to Police personnel, Health conservancy workers and other government officials, besides starving public in around Chengleput, Thiruporur, Thirukazhukundram & its nearby villages.

Distribution of vegetables and provisions to public in nearby villages viz., Thiruvadisoolam, Anjur, Senneri, Pattravakkam etc on quite a few occasions during COVID 19 pandemic distress.

Protection of Environment, improving water resources, planting of trees in around Thiruvadisoolam village

Setting up of Gaushala, for protection and maintenance of cows

Young talents are identified and are given training in various activities such as Sculptor Making.

Drop outs from colleges are given training to produce BioGas & Bio Manure to make a liming out of them.
